1. Who operates Entropy
Entropy (the “Service”) is operated by Entropy Ltd., a company registered in the Republic of Bulgaria under UIC 207769108 (“Entropy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You may contact us at [email protected].
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By adding, configuring, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you add or configure Entropy for a Discord server, you represent that you have permission to do so and to configure its features for that server.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Server administrators are responsible for informing their members about server rules and enabled logging or moderation features where required.
3. Eligibility
You must satisfy Discord’s minimum-age requirements and any higher minimum age required in your country. Entropy is not directed to children below those thresholds. If you use Entropy on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. The Service
Entropy provides Discord moderation, server-event logging, community automation, utilities, image and meme generation, games, and related features. Features may depend on the permissions and settings selected by a server administrator.
Entropy is currently provided free of charge. We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, or improve the Service. We do not guarantee that any feature will remain available permanently.
5. Discord and third-party services
Entropy operates through Discord and is subject to Discord’s terms, policies, permissions, availability, and technical limitations. Discord is a separate service that we do not control. Your use of Discord remains governed by your agreement with Discord.
Image and meme commands may use the imgen.red service operated by us. GobCog and other components may be open-source software governed by their respective licences. Entropy is built on Red-DiscordBot but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or the Cog Creators.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use, attempt to use, or enable others to use Entropy:
- in violation of applicable law, Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Policy, or another person’s rights;
- to harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, impersonate, or unlawfully surveil another person;
- to create or distribute illegal, abusive, non-consensual, exploitative, or age-inappropriate content;
- to obtain credentials, tokens, private information, or unauthorized access;
- to interfere with, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass security or usage restrictions of the Service;
- to automate spam, scams, artificial engagement, or unsolicited communications; or
- to use generated images or other outputs in a manner that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
We may restrict or terminate access, blacklist users or servers, preserve necessary evidence, and report conduct to Discord or competent authorities when reasonably necessary.
7. Server administration and moderation
Server owners and administrators control whether Entropy is installed, which permissions it receives, which modules are enabled, and where logging output is posted. They are responsible for configuring Entropy lawfully and appropriately for their community.
Entropy assists moderators but does not replace human judgment. Server administrators remain responsible for moderation decisions, appeals, sanctions, access permissions, retention of messages in their Discord channels, and compliance with applicable rules and laws.
8. User content and generated output
You retain whatever rights you hold in content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to process that content only as necessary to operate the requested feature, secure the Service, and comply with law.
You are responsible for your prompts, uploads, commands, configuration, and use of generated output. Image inputs and generated images are processed transiently by imgen.red and discarded by us after delivery to Discord. Discord may retain the delivered message or attachment under its own policies and the server’s settings.
9. Game data
Some minigames maintain persistent character, inventory, economy, achievement, or progression data associated with Discord identifiers. Virtual items and currencies have no cash value, are not transferable outside supported features, and do not create property or payment rights. We may correct, rebalance, reset, or remove game data when reasonably necessary for maintenance, fairness, security, or abuse prevention.
10. Intellectual property
Except for user content, third-party software, and third-party marks, the Service and its original branding, configuration, code, text, and design are owned by or licensed to Entropy Ltd. No right is granted except the limited right to use the Service under these Terms.
Red-DiscordBot is made available by Cog Creators and contributors under the GPL-3.0 licence. Other open-source components remain subject to their applicable licences.
11. Availability and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free performance.
We do not guarantee that logs will capture every event, moderation actions will always succeed, generated output will be suitable for a particular purpose, or game data will never be lost. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Entropy Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, reputation, opportunity, revenue, or profits; Discord actions or outages; server-administrator decisions; or user-generated content arising from the Service.
Because the Service is free, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed EUR 50, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or other mandatory legal protections.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Entropy at any time by removing it from your server. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal obligations, platform requirements, technical threats, or violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, law, or platform requirements change. We will publish the revised version at bot.entpy.com/terms with a new effective date. Material changes may also be announced through the website, support server, or bot where practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable Bulgarian and European Union law may hear disputes. Before filing a claim, please contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
